What we collect
Account information: email address, name, job role, school/district information you provide during onboarding.
Usage data: situations you submit, documents you generate, your plan and billing status. We log actions for security and service improvement.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, error logs. Used for service operation and security only.
What we do not collect
We do not intentionally collect student PII. Our platform instructs users not to enter student names, IDs, or other identifying information. If you inadvertently submit PII, contact us at privacy@edcommand.app for deletion.
How we use your information
- To provide and improve the Service
- To process payments (via Stripe — see Stripe's privacy policy)
- To send transactional emails (account, billing, usage alerts)
- To monitor for security issues and abuse
- We do not sell your data. We do not use your data to train AI models.
AI processing
Situation descriptions you submit are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's data handling is governed by Anthropic's privacy policy and API usage terms. We do not send your account information to Anthropic. Review Anthropic's policies at anthropic.com/privacy.
Data retention
Situation and document data is retained as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after account closure. You may request deletion of your data at any time via account settings or by emailing privacy@edcommand.app.
Your rights
You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data through account settings or by contacting us. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA — contact us to exercise them.
Security
We use Supabase for data storage with row-level security enforcing tenant isolation. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel.
FERPA notice
EdCommand is designed as a tool for individual educators, not as a school-sponsored system that processes education records. Users are instructed not to enter student PII. If your district requires a Data Processing Agreement (DPA), contact us at legal@edcommand.app.
